November 21-23 – Four shows!
Jazz duo / Jazz Quartet / Jazz Quintet / Country Noir Combo

Friday, November 21st – 5pm to 7pm – Foster/Vincent Guitar Duo! A twenty dollar bill works wonders to support the Jazz Happy Hour that’s been all but continuous since the fall of 2002, 23 years and counting… byob… bring the kids… the kids and student musicians get in free this evening. Guitarist Scott Foster has been on the gig since the beginning and carries on still, bringing in a newly devised combo on the 3rd Friday of each month. This month, it’s another two guitar duo — this time out, Scott has invited Randy Vincent to share the stage with him. Randy is a singularly talented musician with a voice on the guitar that’s all his own and a long-time presence on the Northern California jazz scene, with a performance and recording history that includes work with Joe Henderson, Dizzy Gillespie, Bobby Hutcherson, Jim Rothermel, Mel Martin, Benny Barth, Mel Graves, Bennett Friedman, Larry Baskett, Peter Welker, Chris Amberger, George Marsh, Smith Dobson, Bill Watrous, George Cables, Tony Dumas, Akira Tana, Billy Childs, Bob Sheppard, Steve Smith, Harold Jones, Bob Badgley, Ernie Watts, Warren Gale, Herb Pomeroy, Sylvia Cuenca, Jared Gold, Dan Wilensky, the Bay Area Jazz Composers’ Orchestra, the New Oakland Jazz Orchestra, Dave Eshelman Jazz Garden Big Band and The Turtle Island String Quartet.

Friday, November 21st – 8:30-10pm – The Joel Behrman Quartet with Dahveed Behroozi, Marcus Shelby & Sylvia Cuenca. Info to follow.

Saturday, November 22nd – 7:30-9:30pm – The Hal Richards Quintet with Rumi Abe, Henry Hung, Rumi Abe, Ron Belcher & Dan Foltz . Info to follow.

Sunday, November 23rd – 5-7pm – The Maurice Tani Band with Henry Salvia, Greg Kehret and Kenny “KO Owen. Info to follow.
