Tom Molanphy – Marie’s Tree: Implosions and Injustice in San Francisco

Local journalist Tom Molanphy will discuss his new book, Marie’s Tree: Implosions and Injustice in San Francisco, with the three people who played crucial roles in this biography of Bayview Hunters Point environmental activist Marie Harrison (1948-2019.) Arieann Harrison,  her daughter who carries on her mother’s fight through the Marie Harrison Community Foundation; Dr. Ahimsa Sumchai, who continues to fight for a thorough cleanup of the Hunters Point Shipyard; and Bradley Angel, Director of Greenaction for Health and Environmental Justice, an organization that Harrison joined in 1999.
