Peter Cherches is the author of Lift Your Right Arm (Pelekinesis, 2013) and two previous volumes of short prose, Condensed Book and Between a Dream and a Cup of Coffee. His work has appeared in the anthologies Poetry 180 and Up Is Up, But So Is Down: New York’s Downtown Literary Scene, 1974-1992. His fiction and other short prose work has been featured in a wide range of magazines and journals, including Harper’s, Semiotext(e), Transatlantic Review, Fiction International, North American Review, Fence and Bomb. Cherches was active, on page and on stage, in the raucous and unpredictable literary, music and performance scenes of downtown Manhattan in the 1980s. Sonorexia, the avant-vaudeville music/performance group he co-led with Elliott Sharp, appeared at such legendary venues as The Mudd Club and CBGB. Cherches also writes about food and music and is a two-time recipient of New York Foundation for the Arts fellowships in creative nonfiction. He is a native of Brooklyn, New York.

Meg Pokrass is the author of Damn Sure Right (Press 53, 2011) a critically acclaimed debut collection of flash fiction. Meg writes and teaches flash fiction, prose poetry and creates story animations. She currently serves as an associate editor for Frederick Barthelme’s New World Writing (formerly Mississippi Review), conducts interviews for Caroline’ Leavitt’s blog CarolineLeavittville, and creates monthly prompts for 100-Word Story Magazine. Meg’s work has appeared in over one hundred and fifty online and print publications, including McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, The Literarian, Failbetter, storySouth, SmokeLong Quarterly, The Rumpus, Wigleaf, Necessary Fiction, Annalemma, elimae, Gigantic, Gargoyle, and Wordriot. Her work has been nominated multiple times for the Pushcart Prize Anthology, has been selected for Wigleaf’s Top 50 Flash Stories (twice) most recently by author Dan Chaon, and showcased for Dzanc Book’s Short Story Month. Meg has recently been commissioned fo to write an original screenplay based on her stories with award-winning screen-writer Graham Gordy.
