A long overdue encounter between the eminent piano professor Macy Blackman, steeped in New Orleans R&B with six decades in the business, and the young drummer Benny Amon, raised in the Sacramento trad jazz community, who spent ten fruitful years in New Orleans being schooled by veterans at Preservation Hall before returning to the Bay Area a couple of short years ago to become an immediate fixture on the regional swing dance circuit and anywhere finer traditional jazz is played. The ever reliable bassist Bing Nathan lends a steady hand to the proceedings.
