When Domingo Balinton was a lad, the Fillmore District was in its full “Harlem of the West” mode, and he had the run of the neighborhood alongside his big sister, who we know as Sugar Pie DeSanto, and their cousin Jamesetta Hawkins, better known to posterity as Etta James!
