Join us on an excursion through some major turning points in the history of the jazz trumpet.
Dave Gibbons, piano; Rob Woodcock, bass; and Jon Frank, drums join forces behind the young trumpeter Noah Frank and sax player Ely Strauss to consider jazz trumpet artistry from Louis Armstrong to Terrance Blanchard and Roy Hargrove.
Concerts every Sunday afternoon, 4:30-6:30, in Bird & Beckett’s “which way west?” series. Your donations help us pay the musicians.
Our events are put on under the umbrella of the nonprofit Bird & Beckett Cultural Legacy Project (the "BBCLP"). That's how we fund our ambitious schedule of 300 or so concerts and literary events every year.
