B&B store sign sketch

Living in the Purple Tier

Collaborate to keep San Francisco safe, neighborhood by neighborhood, block by block, household by household, shop by shop; for our part, we’ll operate chiefly at the door until the tragedies subside and the experts & authorities let us know that the tide has turned in our favor again.

We’ll be allowing in just a few browsers at a time. For anyone who prefers not to come inside, or when our small capacity is met, we’ll be happy to work with you at the door to the shop and can fetch what you need or think you might want from inside; and, of course, we’ll take orders. Given that store hours are limited (noon to 6pm six days a week), we’ll make a few individual appointments outside store hours; call 415-586-3733.

We’ll gladly make deliveries to those sheltering in place, for no fee. To the extent that you can stay home, we want to encourage and facilitate that judgment call.

We should still be able to livestream some wonderful stress-relieving and soul-restoring music to you Friday and Saturday evenings.

Thanks for joining us in the effort to turn the tide. No point in waiting for the magic bullet, as promising as the vaccine and political developments are. There are still months to go, with Christmas likely to dwarf Thanksgiving as a superspreading holiday opportunity. Let’s not go there! Plan your virtual holiday gathering now, and get your presents in the mail early. This ain’t no disco.

Available Now at Bird & Beckett

Hot off the press from your neighborhood bookshop just in time for the lame duck period. 75 million voters, and counting, have rejected fascism and lies. 70 million haven’t yet made that commitment. Bully Goat’s Bluff might change a few of their minds.

Fits nicely in an invitation envelope for mailing. Fits in a pocket as well.
