BIRD & BECKETT CULTURAL LEGACY PROJECT

Sunday, July 31
Joseph Tingin solo singer songwriter 5-6pm
Vince Lateano Doggone Jazz Jam Session 7-9pm

Most Glen Park denizens know Joseph Tingin from the hardware store at the corner. But a few of you have heard him here at Bird & Beckett and elsewhere as a sweet, soulful and charming singer-songwriter.

Drop in and say hi to him on the job, and buy a new pipe wrench or something! While he’s navigating the stock to get you what you need to fix that little plumbing leak you’ve got, or to sell you a wood screw, key fob or picture hanger, ask him what he’s got in store for you up the block at Bird & Beckett on the last afternoon of July, when we’ll be capping off another wonderful month of live music at Glen’s Park’s best little bookshop!

After Joseph, we’ll offer the perfect jazz nightcap to leave you sated and satisfied for the evening. Drummer Vince Lateano and his trio — Ben Stolorow on piano and bassist Ollie Dudek (subbing tonight for Peter Barshay) — conduct a jam session at Bird & Beckett that happens on the last Sunday of every month.

Bring your axe, or just come to hear jazz in all its exuberant glory!

Whenever you come to Bird & Beckett to hear the live music, it’s always right to bring a twenty for the musicians. Thanks for supporting live music! No charge at all to musicians participating in the jam session, of course.

Thank you for supporting live music at Bird & Beckett, where we do our best to use your support to support the musicians and their invaluable profession.

It takes a lot of cover charges and a lot of donations to the Bird & Beckett Cultural Legacy Project, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, to make that work. Click on “donate” up at the top of this webpage if you can support our efforts.

Culture is what it takes to keep hope and humanity alive.  And you’re a big part of what it takes to keep culture alive!
