Duo Violão Brasil stems from guitarists Rogério Souza and Edinho Gerber’s reverence for Brazilian guitar, the violão, and their desire to explore and expand the musical possibilities of putting two violões tog
Ami Molinelli, co-leader of the Brazilian choro & jazz ensemble, Grupo Falsa Baiano, is a professional percussionist and educator specializing in Brazilian and Latin percussion, especially the pandeiro. Molinelli received her Master of Fine Arts from California Institute of the Arts and has studied at Universidade Federal da Bahia in Salvador, Brazil.
Last year, Molinelli collaborated with Duo Violão to release a collaborative album, A History of Choro, and to tour.
